Kelile and Dimne

Kelile & Dimne, which is one of the first and most important examples of the genre Fable, takes its name from the two heroic foxes in the first episode : Kelile is the symbol of rightfulness and honesty ; and Dimne, just the contrary. Their stories represent for the children precious experiences about life. With her good qualities and humanitarian nature, Kelile has always a helpful and honest approach towards people, whereas Dimne is always the opposite.
