Counter-Strike Global Offensive, also known as CS:GO was created in 2012. It is a multiplayer first-person shooter with an objective-based gameplay. In game modes, two opposing teams the Terrorists and the Counter Terrorists compete to achieve goals such as seizing a place to plant and detonate a bomb, or by killing all the opponent team.

During the last WESG championship tournament, the player Windigo won with a prize pool of US $890,000. There is also a feminin WESG tournament for CS:GO inwhich CLG Red won with a prize pool of US $105,000.

World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) is an international esports championship tournament created in 2016. It occurs in Shanghai, China and it is organized by a worldwide famous promoter named AliSports. The total cash-prize given at the end of the first edition was around 5,5 millions US dollars. Featuring all stars teams on various worldwide famous games, everyone competes to be recognized as the best of the best.
