The Marathon

Five monks are living harmoniously in Wanrooij’s imposing monastery. All of a sudden, the peace is disturbed by the arrival of a team of construction workers. The leader of the church has sold the monastery to the council, who are planning to turn their beloved home into a spa! The monks try everything in their power to prevent the “Turkish steam shit”, but their desperate attempts all come to nothing – until a miracle happens. Their monastery seems to be saved, but from that moment on their lives are turned completely upside down.
