An unstoppable love affair later in life comes with inevitable consequences, because can you (and should you?) choose for yourself when you’ve already had an entire life?
In Rocco & Sjuul, stressed-out carer Sjuul’s (Beppie Melissen) life is turned upside down when she runs into her childhood sweetheart Rocco (Sabri Saad El Hamus), who she used to dance with. They have their own lives and families now, and yet sparks fly once more. Despite resistance from their families, their love is unstoppable. By trial and error, Rocco and Sjuul try to find a way to create space for themselves. But… is it okay to put yourself first and will they be brave enough to start over one more time?
ROCCO & SJUUL is an ode to love, brimming with humour and a lust for life. Producer Phanta Film had a major box office hit in 2019-2020 with MI VIDA  (starring Loes Luca). That same year, KAPSALON ROMY (starring Beppie Melissen) brought Producer BosBros international success, winning four Golden Calves for Best Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor. Building on this success, the team have brought us another strong, fast-paced film, aimed at viewers over 50, with a relatable story that will hit them in the feels.
